- How do I summarise a meeting or lecture in Noted? Open the note, tap ✨ and choose Summarize Note, then tap Start. Noted reads your notes and the transcript and writes a summary with key points and actions you can edit or share. Summaries are included with your plan, up to 100 a month; there is no separate subscription.
- How do I upgrade to the Lifetime plan? On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → My Plan and tap Upgrade to Lifetime (or Upgrade Plan on a monthly plan). On a Mac, go to Settings → Noted+. Upgrade in the same app where you bought your current plan. Your subscription doesn't stop by itself, so cancel it afterwards.
- How do I adjust the editor margins in Noted? On iPad running iPadOS 18 or earlier, open the ⋯ menu, choose Note Settings, then Adjust Editor Margin and drag the slider; the margin applies to all your notes. On iPhone, iPadOS 26 and Mac the margins adjust automatically.
- Can I use my Noted subscription on more than one device? Yes, on every device signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro. If it doesn't appear on a new device, tap Restore purchase in Settings → My Plan (iPhone and iPad) or Settings → Noted+ (Mac). It can't be used on Android.
- How do I add an Apple Watch recording to a note? On your iPhone, open the Watch tab, tap a recording and choose Append to note, then pick the notebook and note and tap Append. Any #TimeTags added on the Watch come across with it.
- How do I delete, archive or restore notes and notebooks? Touch and hold a note, or swipe left on it, on iPhone and iPad (right-click on Mac) and choose Delete or Archive. Archived notes can be restored from the Archive; deleted notes and notebooks are gone for good.
- How do I cancel my Noted+ subscription? You can cancel anytime through Apple: iPhone or iPad: Open Noted, go to Settings → My Plan → Manage Subscription. Mac: Open Noted, go to Settings → Noted+ → Manage Subscription… You can keep using Noted+ until your subscription ends. After that, your notes stay on your device and remain readable. Nothing is deleted.
- What Happens After My Free Trial Ends? Your yearly Noted+ subscription starts and is charged when the 7-day trial ends, unless you cancelled at least 24 hours before. Cancelling early does not shorten the trial; you keep Noted+ until the seventh day.
- How do I use dictation to turn speech into notes? Tap ✨ on the toolbar, choose Dictation and speak; Noted types what you say and, if you are recording, timestamps it to the audio. Dictation uses the language set in Settings → Transcribe → Language.
- How do I share my Noted+ subscription with family? Yes. A yearly Noted+ subscription can be shared with up to five people in your Family Sharing group. Turn on Share with Family for Noted under Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
- How do I use the equalizer to improve audio quality? In Note Settings on iPhone and iPad, or Settings → General on Mac, switch on EQ and adjust the low, mid and high bands. EQ only applies during playback, so your original recording never changes. On iOS it is available up to iOS 18; iOS 26 and later no longer need it. It is still available on macOS.
- How can I adjust the recording quality in Noted? Choose Best, Good or Space Saver under Settings > Record & Playback > Recording quality on iPhone and iPad, or Settings > Record > Recording quality on Mac. Good (44,100 Hz) is the default; Best records at 48,000 Hz and Space Saver at 16,000 Hz for the smallest files.
- How do I record my screen on Mac with Noted? Click the Screen Recording icon on the Mac toolbar, choose the screen or window and press Record. Noted captures the screen, its audio and your microphone into the note, with everything you type time-stamped.
- How do I set up themes, fonts and date formats? Themes, fonts and date formats are under Settings on iOS and macOS. Pick a space theme, change the editor font and size, and choose how dates appear in your notes; each choice syncs across your devices.
- How do Sketch and Time Stroke work? Sketch lets you draw or handwrite in a note with a finger or Apple Pencil. Time Stroke records each stroke against the audio, so tapping a drawing later replays what was being said as you drew it.
- Can I try Noted+ for free before purchasing? Yes. The yearly Noted+ plan includes a 7-day free trial; the monthly plan and the lifetime purchase do not. The trial auto-renews, so cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to be charged.
- What is Intelligent Playback and how do I turn it on? Intelligent Playback skips silence and noise such as applause automatically. On iPhone and iPad, tap ⋯ → Settings in a note and turn on Skip Silence; on a Mac, click the 1x button next to Play and tick Enable.
