- How do I adjust the editor margins in Noted? Open the ⋯ menu at the top right of a note, choose Note Settings, then Adjust Editor Margin and drag the slider. The margin is saved per note, on iOS and macOS.
- How do I add an Apple Watch recording to a note? On your iPhone, open the Watch Recordings folder, tap a recording and choose Append to note, then pick the notebook and note. Any #TimeTags added on the Watch come across with it.
- Can I try Noted+ for free before purchasing? Yes. The yearly Noted+ plan includes a 7-day free trial; the monthly plan and the lifetime purchase do not. The trial auto-renews, so cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to be charged.
- Can I use my Noted+ subscription on more than one device? Yes, on every device signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro. A purchase made on iOS does not transfer to Android, or the other way round.
- How do I use dictation to turn speech into notes? Tap the microphone on the editor toolbar and speak; Noted types what you say and, if you are recording, time-stamps every word to the audio. Dictation works in any language your device's keyboard supports.
- How do I delete, archive or restore notes and notebooks? Swipe left on a note (iOS) or right-click it (macOS) and choose Delete or Archive. Archived notes can be restored from the Archive; deleted notes and notebooks are gone for good.
- How do I use the equalizer to improve audio quality? During playback, open the 1x menu and switch on EQ. The presets cut background hiss or lift voices, so a recording made in a noisy room is easier to hear without re-recording it.
- How do I share my Noted+ subscription with family? Yes. A yearly Noted+ subscription can be shared with up to five people in your Family Sharing group. Turn on Share with Family for Noted under your Apple ID's Subscriptions settings.
- How to cancel your subscription? Cancel through Apple, not in the app: on iOS go to Settings → Account → Manage Subscription; on macOS open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings → Subscriptions. Access continues until the period you paid for ends.
- What is Intelligent Playback and how do I turn it on? Intelligent Playback skips silence and noise such as applause automatically. Turn it on from the 1x button next to Play: toggle it on iOS, or tick Enable on macOS.
- What is Noted Assistant and how do I summarise a meeting? Noted Assistant reads a note and its transcript and writes a summary you can edit or share. Open the note, tap Assistant and choose Summarise; it needs Noted+ and a transcript of the recording.
- How can I adjust the recording quality in Noted? Choose Low, Standard or High under Settings → Recording. High keeps the most detail, Low uses about a quarter of the space; Standard suits most lectures and meetings.
- How do I record my screen on Mac with Noted? Click the Screen Recording icon on the Mac toolbar, choose the screen or window and press Record. Noted captures the screen, its audio and your microphone into the note, with everything you type time-stamped.
- How do I set up themes, fonts and date formats? Themes, fonts and date formats are under Settings on iOS and macOS. Pick a space theme, change the editor font and size, and choose how dates appear in your notes; each choice syncs across your devices.
- How do Sketch and Time Stroke work? Sketch lets you draw or handwrite in a note with a finger or Apple Pencil. Time Stroke records each stroke against the audio, so tapping a drawing later replays what was being said as you drew it.
- What Happens After My Free Trial Ends? Your yearly Noted+ subscription starts and is charged when the 7-day trial ends, unless you cancelled at least 24 hours before. Cancelling early does not shorten the trial; you keep Noted+ until the seventh day.
